What is Equine Assisted Learning?
Equine assisted learning is working with horses to make a positive change in a human's life. Those who work with horses have long known their ability to influence humans on many levels, including the emotional and spiritual. For many, horses aren't just a hobby, but become a way of life. Though the terms "Equine Assisted Learning", "Equine Facilitated Coaching" and others are fairly new, the power of horses to influence us for the better has been known for millenia.
What is an EAPD Coach?
First and foremost, an Equine Assisted Personal Development Coach is not a counsellor or therapist. An EAPD Coach is a facilitator of learning.

The coach and learner work together, interacting with the horse, to help the learner achieve their goals, resolve issues, and make positive changes in their life. The goal is not to teach you, but rather to help you learn on your own. We do not focus on past issues, but rather how we can make positive changes in the present to help you make a better future.

You have the answers to your challenges. I will work with you, partnered with the horse, to help you discover those answers.
Code of Ethics
When they become certified by EAL Canada, all EAPD coaches must sign a Code of Ethics. This Code includes things such as:

- Treating clients with respect and constantly monitoring their well-being
- Providing honest services, and working within our professional limits
- Upholding the welfare of the horses in our care, as well as educating clients about horse welfare and responsible horse ownership
-Respecting confidential information (information will not be shared except where required by law, or for the physical safety of a client or another person)
