We’ve moved!

We’re finally at our new place, back out in the country, and yes, the horses will be coming home!

There is pretty much zero existing horse infrastructure… there’s a line of old fencing that was mixed barbed wire and mostly-rotten rails, but we pulled it down yesterday. Today, the horse shelter arrived!

Currently, it’s sitting in front of the house… pretty much exactly where I wanted it. Until, of course, I left the property and came back for the first time… it’s definitely moving into the back yard!

The fencing materials are getting delivered in two days, and the post pounding will hopefully commence shortly thereafter. The automatic waterer is set to be installed sometime in the next week and a bit.

The property does have one handy building when it comes to horse keeping though - a large fabric Quonset. It’s not quite tall enough or big enough to ride in, but it’s long enough that I can set up a couple of stalls in the back, and still have lots of space.

So, for now, sessions will be on hold while we get everything set up and ready for the horses to arrive. But soon we’ll have an even more peaceful and private space for connecting with the horses!

If you’re interested in working with me and one of my equine partners, feel free to contact me through the website.
