Booking and Payment

All bookings must be pre-paid at least 24 hours in advance of the requested session, or the session will be cancelled. Payment can be made by e-transfer, cash, or cheque.

Waivers

All participants must sign a liability waiver for Sacred Hoofbeats EAL . Waivers will be emailed prior to your session, please print them off, sign, and bring to your first session. For any participants under the age of majority, the waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Attire

While horses are not malicious animals, they are large, and see the world quite differently from how we do. For your safety, sturdy close-toed shoes and long pants are mandatory, regardless of the weather. Footwear such as sandals, crocs, and "ballet flats" will NOT be permitted. Something like a hiking boot or cowboy boot is ideal. Jeans are recommended, though any long pant that doesn't drag too much on the ground is acceptable. Please also keep the weather in mind; we will most likely be outside for our session.

Cancellations

All cancellations require 24 hours notice. If something comes up and you must cancel within 24 hours of your session, you will be charged half the session fee. If you are a "no-show" you will be charged for the full session. If for some reason I must postpone or cancel a session, you will receive full credit for that session, to be applied to future sessions.

Conduct

No abuse of any staff or horses will be tolerated. Physical abuse of any horse (or other animal) will result in the immediate stop of the session and cancellation of all future sessions.

Length of Sessions

The length of sessions is variable, depending the needs of the learner. While the aim is to go for about an hour, sometimes that may be too much for a learner to handle, especially if there are strong emotions coming up. Other times, we made need to go for longer than an hour. If the learner is deep in processing something, we don't want to cut that short. Because of this, the cost of each session is not based on the length of the session. No partial refunds will be given for sessions lasting less than an hour, nor will there be an extra charge for sessions going over an hour.
